Life is full of surprises and this could not be more true than for Camilla Jørgensen once a foreign aid worker in Sudan for UNICEF’s Lifeline Sudan, now a jewellery designer married to a Canadian pilot with Montreal as her new home base.
Danish born designer, Camilla Jørgensen created MICALLA quite by accident; in 2007 when a close friend was diagnosed with cancer Jørgensen foresaw the trying times and chose to engage her friend in designing and making jewellery, which they would do upon her regular visits to the cancer ward. Blessedly, her friend recovered and for Jørgensen, the jewellery making stuck. The rest is history. |
