about MICALLA

Since the inception of MICALLA, designer Camilla Jørgensen has seen that jewelry, and accessories in general, are essential to complete any high fashion outfit.

Camilla set out to find the outlet that would bring her designs to life around the world, which has led to carving out a niche in the high fashion and couture market.

MICALLA has been in the designers' showcase at Semaine de la Mode in Montreal and at LG Fashion Week in Toronto since 2008.

Another natural fit was to join the Red Room, spearheaded by Amanda Brugal and inside Toronto's Fashion Incubator this is the place for clients to be 'red carpet chic', by styling them in the latest Canadian designers.

MICALLA jewelry adorned the necks of many Canadian celebrities at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival and at the Gemini Awards. Camilla looks forward to seeing her designs on the Golden Globe Awards red carpet in January 2010.

Camilla is designing new pieces for a specific market in film and television, both in Canada and abroad.MICALLA believes in a low impact lifestyle. We actively seek out small, artisanal mines with an eye to the future of the environment.

We will not buy stones from suppliers who cannot produce a concise supply chain.

We want you to know that every piece of jewelry you buy from MICALLA will be free of the shackles of child labour and unfair work conditions and that each stone will be mined from the earth without great harm or erosion to the very birthplace of nature. We are also actively seeking societies and communities who share our values and are planning a guild or foundation in the near future.
